AFND is an interdisciplinary resource group of community health professionals utilizing multiple pathways to facilitate and promote the goal of health for all.

To be a leading catalyst in creating healthier communities through innovative and sustainable health, nutrition, and wellness initiatives by focusing on public health system development, action on the social determinants of health and community action for health with a social justice perspective, recognizing that an individual's health is shaped by various factors including socioeconomic conditions, education, environment, and access to healthcare.

To empower individuals and communities to achieve optimal health and wellness through education, teaching and training initiatives, research, knowledge dissemination, policy advocacy, and collaborative partnerships focusing on nutrition, disease prevention, and sustainable health practices.
